Using on a MAC OSX (SL, Lion & Windows 7)
Runs smoothly, transfer rate is very good (not having USB 3 and Thunderbolt costing a bomb Firewire800 is a good alternative.

Originally bought the Seagate (firewire 3TB) it was dead in box.
Much happier with WD i have 3 HDDs by the now and this is my favourite

It is expensive for the amount of space you get but running on EX-FAT works great on USB2/Firewire800 on Windows Linux or Mac.

Very pleased.
