The Seagate Central network drive is very easy to set up - just plug it into a free RJ45 wired network port on your router using the supplied cable. There's no software install required and the hard drive just appears on your network as a Seagate drive. Once you register with Seagate Central on-line, you can access the hard drive remotely or from other PC's on the network using the Seagate log-in and password. This Seagate Central drive is available with 2Tb, 3Tb and 4Tb storage options. The top of the hard drive case has a domed open mesh cover to aid cooling, although this prevents other units being placed on top of it.

Although this Seagate Central drive is touted as designed for wireless, in fact you really need a fast wired connection from at least one PC if you want to shift a lot of files, such as photos or video.
